Kelsey Scott grew up in Alabama, and began sewing at the young age of eight. She knew early on she wanted to work in fashion, and earned a degree in apparel design from The University of Alabama, with a minor in Italian. She participated in many different fashion shows during her time there, designing and sewing collections for each one.
In the summer of 2012, she had the opportunity to intern for Lela Rose in New York City. She learned new techniques, helped with draping, creating patterns, and dyeing fabrics for the season. She returned to assist with the spring 2013 ready to wear collection shown at Mercedes Benz Fashion week in September 2012.
She began her career at Abercrombie and Fitch, fresh out of college. She quickly worked her way up the ladder, then later decided to continue her career at Carter's in Atlanta, where she honed her technique using CLO 3D software.
When Kelsey's not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Zach, and their goldendoodle, Chloe. They travel as often as possible, and have a goal to visit all of the national parks in the US.
